Maintence & Cleaning
Regularly cleaning the product when used outdoors for extended periods is crucial. Utilize a soft brush and soapy water to effectively remove superficial dirt, debris, like leaves, berries, pollen, and bird droppings. By doing so, you prevent the accumulation of these elements, making them easier to clean. When not in use, it's essential to keep the cushions in an upright position. This ensures proper drainage, reducing the risk of mold and mildew formation. Correct drainage also maximizes the effectiveness of the cushions' anti-bacterial protection. However, it's important to note that despite this protection, mildew can still develop on the inner and outer covers if the cushions are not adequately drained or cleaned. If any food or drink spills occur, promptly wash the affected area with warm soapy water and allow the cushion to dry in an upright position.
To tackle tough stains or accumulated dirt, use a recommended stain remover like Vanish Oxi Action, or a high-pressure cleaner on a moderate setting. For thorough cleaning, it's advisable to separate the core from the cover and wash and dry them individually. Ensure you clean both sides of the outer cover. Additionally, please be aware that the cushion cover can be machine washed at 30°C.
Storing
Here are some effective ways to store your furniture during autumn and winter to ensure maximum protection and make spring cleaning easier:
Furniture Frames:
- The ideal option is to store furniture frames indoors.
- Alternatively, you can store them on a covered terrace, patio, or carport, providing protection from the elements.
- If you choose to store them outdoors under a furniture cover, be cautious of potential condensation formation. To prevent mold and mildew, lift the cover away from the furniture frame, allowing proper air circulation and minimizing condensation.
Furniture Cushions:
- The best practice is to store cushions indoors in a well-ventilated room.
- Another option is to use a cushion box on a covered terrace, patio, or carport to shield them from the elements while ensuring adequate ventilation.
- Avoid storing cushions directly on the furniture frames, as this can lead to the development of mold and mildew on the surfaces, making spring cleaning more challenging.
