SHOPBOXHILL's Modern Concrete Chair Carbon Edition is a contemporary reinterpretation of the original Adirondack chair, introduced in 1903. Emphasizing ergonomics, clean lines, and honest materials, this chair is comprised of natural, non-biodegradable materials that will age and patina with time. The shell is hand-cast in a composite concrete that yields a durable, lightweight result.
The steel base is cut, fitted, and welded by hand, one chair at a time. Afterwards, it receives a protective wax finish. The Modern Concrete Chair's thoughtful design includes a removable base and seat drainage via a cast-in copper drain aperture.
Each slab of highly-engineered composite concrete is sealed with a material that will not peel or yellow. Choose from a wax-treated base, five colors of powder-coat, or metallic copper for the base, and three colors of concrete for the seat.
For additional comfort, you may add a outdoor cushion to your chair. Fabricated from a polyurethane foam core and covered with durable, weatherproof Sunbrella outdoor fabric, these cushions are custom made for each piece.
